Is the Buyer Qualified?

One of the many advantages of using a real estate professional to sell your home is his or her expertise in recognizing a qualified buyer. Many a "for sale by owner" deal has fallen through because the prospective buyer can't get financing. The house can be put up for sale again, of course. But the seller has lost both valuable time and other potential buyers.
A thorough understanding of what lenders want in terms of income, credit rating and job history helps the professional screen out offers from unqualified buyers.
Questions you might never think of, or be reluctant to ask if you did, are part of the job of finding a buyer for your property.
