Fresh flowers and healthy potted plants enhance this homey feeling. New accessories in the kitchen and bath, such as bright towels and potholders do the same. Keep rooms well lighted, windows uncovered. On a wintry day, light a fire or bake some cookies. If you can, show photographs of your home when the yard is at its best, with spring flowers, summer greenery or autumn color.
