Condition
May 29, 2003

When looking for a house, a buyer's most important considerations are price and location. If your home is within the target price range and in the right location, without a doubt the next most crucial criterion is its condition.

The buyer will be looking for model home conditions, expecting to move in without doing anything, including cleaning the carpeting. Paint should be near perfect and neutral, inside and out. Windows should be squeaky clean. All light fixtures should work properly. No dripping faucets, leaky toilets, loose wallpaper or nail pops. Roof, driveway, foundation and basement floor should not be in need of repair. And make your showing more appealing by eliminating all the dust bunnies and eliminating all clutter.
