Marketing Plan
May 8, 2003

Your listing agent should have a solid marketing plan for your home.

For starters, he/she should belong to the local MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and should list your home on it, allowing other realtors in the area to show your home to their buyers. He/she should also have a web page on the Internet for further exposure to the public. Your realtor's sign should be displayed on your property if local ordinances allow it. Your agent should develop a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) advising you of the optimum-listing price and should also plan and conduct a tour day for other realtors. Most importantly, your agent should communicate with you regularly, giving you feedback on your home, new listings, and recent sales in your area.
