Townhomes
December 4, 2003
A townhome is a house that is attached to one or more other
houses, but sits directly on a parcel of land that you also own. If you don't own the land, it is a condominium.
Like condos, townhome owners generally share responsibility
in the common areas of the complex as well as any amenities
such as swimming pools, park areas, etc. This is done through
your townhome association and you'll pay a monthly fee to
cover these shared responsibilities. Make sure you research
the association's covenants and bylaws and what you can and
cannot do as a unit owner. Contact me, your Real Estate
Professional for more information and advice.
